How it works

Paste your text, choose how you want the line breaks handled, and click Clean. "Remove all line breaks" joins everything into a single block separated by spaces — handy when text copied from a PDF, email, or column has broken mid-sentence. "Remove empty lines only" keeps your line structure but deletes the blank lines between blocks. Tick "collapse extra spaces" to also squash runs of multiple spaces and tabs down to one. Only whitespace is touched; your words and punctuation stay exactly as they are, and everything runs locally in your browser.

FAQ

What is the difference between removing all line breaks and removing empty lines?

Removing all line breaks joins every line into one continuous block of text, separated by single spaces. Removing empty lines only deletes the blank lines between paragraphs, keeping the remaining line structure intact.

Does it also remove extra spaces?

Only if you tick the "collapse extra spaces" option. When enabled, runs of multiple spaces and tabs are reduced to a single space, which is useful for cleaning text copied from PDFs or emails.

Will it change my words or punctuation?

No. Only whitespace — line breaks and, optionally, extra spaces — is changed. Your words, numbers, and punctuation are left exactly as they are.

Is my text uploaded anywhere?

No. Everything runs entirely in your browser. The text you paste is never transmitted to a server or stored.
