This converter fetches live exchange rates once when the page loads, from the Frankfurter API (European Central Bank data), and keeps them cached in your browser for the rest of your visit — so switching currencies or amounts recalculates instantly with no extra network calls. If that source is unavailable, it automatically falls back to a second free rates provider so the tool keeps working. Pick a "from" and "to" currency, enter an amount, and see the converted value along with the current exchange rate and the date the rates are from. If both sources fail (for example, if you're offline), you'll see a clear error message instead of a stale or misleading number. This is the only tool on ByteSize Daily Tools that makes a network request — every other calculator runs entirely offline in your browser.
